Your Cosmetic Consultation

At Specialists in Plastic Surgery, we offer a full *60-minute, one-on-one consultation with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Unlike many practices where consultations are brief or partially delegated, your time is spent directly with the surgeon who will perform your procedure.

The extended consultation allows a comprehensive evaluation, detailed surgical planning and a in-depth discussion of your goals, options and safety considerations. We believe that taking the time upfront leads to better outcomes, fewer surprises and a more confident patient experienced.

Our consultation fee is $150 we collect this at the time you schedule your appointment. The consultation fee will be applied to your surgery balance.

We are located in Raleigh, NC and serve the surrounding areas such as Cary, Wake Forest, Apex, Fuquay Varina, Durham, Charlotte, Goldsboro, Fayetteville and Wilmington.

Registration

You will receive a welcome email and time to talk with our coordinator prior to your visit. We strongly encourage you to complete the registration forms online before for your arrival. Click here to login /register for our online patient portal and complete your forms.

Once at our office, our patient concierge team will greet you upon on arrival at the front desk. They will collect your identification and any other necessary information. You can then relax in our waiting area until our cosmetic coordinator meets with you.

Physician Consultation

Our cosmetic patient coordinator will escort you to a consultation room to provide a brief overview of the consultation. Then, your board-certified plastic surgeon will meet with you.

The surgeon will spend a generous amount of time with you during your consultation. They will review your medical history and discuss your cosmetic concern and goals. Additionally, our surgeons will perform a focused physical exam. With your permission, a nurse may take a picture of you for demonstration purposes.

The surgeon will provide you with an assessment of the most appropriate procedures that fit your objectives. The surgeon will also show you before and after photos of the procedure(s) to show realistic surgical results.

Meeting with your Patient Care Coordinator

After the consultation, your cosmetic coordinator will review the quote for the proposed procedure(s). Financing options are available and can be discussed with the coordinator. If you have a specific time frame for your procedure, we will work to accommodate your schedule. Or, if you are in the information-gathering phase, we will be happy to answer any of your questions. Surgery scheduling can be done the same day or you can schedule at a later date. The quote provided to you is good for six months.

Follow-Up

We are here for you. Our cosmetic patient coordinator will maintain close communication with you following your consultation. They are available for any questions you may have. If you need more time with your surgeon, you can schedule a second consultation at no cost.
