Sexual full lips. Natural gloss of lipsWhether you are talking, smiling, or frowning, the mouth features prominently when you are interacting with people. The mouth, much like the eyes, can say so much about a person and their mood. Do you feel self-conscious about how your mouth looks? If you are concerned about the state of your lips, read on!

Help for dry lips

Lips can become painfully dry and cracked, especially in the winter. Lip balm can help, of course, but there are ways you can go beyond this to make lips feel and look great. Here are a few things you can do:

• Drink lots of water. Water, of course, is important to stay healthy, but it can also help to keep skin (and lips) from getting too dry.

• Quit smoking. Smoking not only dries out lips but it can also cause unsightly wrinkles around the mouth.

• Watch what you eat. Eating foods with vitamins A, B, C, and E can help to keep you hydrated. Such foods include dark leafy greens, citrus fruit, fish, and nuts. You should also avoid foods that are spicy or salty, as they may irritate your lips.

• Protect your lips. If you live in a cold, harsh climate, don’t forget to protect your lips when you go outside. Wear a scarf that you can use to cover up the lips. During the winter, inside air can cause a problem as well – heating units can dry the air (and the lips) out. A humidifier can help.

Injectable fillers for other lip problems

If you notice wrinkles around the lips, an injectable filler may be able to help. Injectable fillers, such as Radiesse and Restylane, can also be used to make lips look fuller and more balanced. Fillers are a quick, noninvasive way to give you a wrinkle-free, beautiful smile!
