Discover a natural, more youthful version of yourself!
A neuromodulator (or “wrinkle relaxer”) is an injectable medication that relaxes and softens the skin by relaxing targeted facial muscles. The process of injecting a neuromodulator requires a certain skill set to achieve a natural-looking result. BOTOX® Cosmetic, XEOMIN®, and Dysport® are injected with a unique, detailed focus that provides natural results.

Who Should Get Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport?

Neuromodulators are ideal for healthy adults (18 to 65 years old) who have concerns about facial lines and wrinkles. Neuromodulators can also treat migraine headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain, and excessive sweating.

Areas most commonly treated with neuromodulators

  • Frown lines (aka the “11s” between the eyebrows)
  • Forehead lines and wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet (aka “smile lines”)
  • Gummy Smile
  • Dimpled Chin
  • Neck bands
  • Downturned mouth lines
  • Modest neck and jaw laxity
We offer a new technique to tighten and lift the lower face, jawline, and neck. Referred to as the “Nefertiti lift,” neuromodulators have proven beneficial for patients with neck banding, downturned lips, and modest skin laxity around the neck and jawline.

To see if neuromodulators are right for you, we encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation with our injector.

Understanding the Risks of Botulinum Toxin

Neuromodulators have been studied extensively for many years and are very safe. But, there are possible side effects to consider such as bruising, swelling, redness or itching at the injection site. It is also possible to have an allergic reaction, fatigue, headache, flu-like symptoms, or eyelid droop. All these potential side effects are discussed in-depth during your visit.

What to Expect During Treatment with Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport

Treatment with neuromodulators involves a few simple injections. Numbing cream is rarely necessary, but may improve comfort in sensitive areas. With a thin needle, we inject the contracting facial muscles below the surface of the skin.

Muscles treated with neuromodulators will relax, but not inhibit natural facial expressions. The treatment takes 15-30 minutes. Neuromodulator treatments are often combined with other non-surgical treatments including dermal fillers.

After Your Treatment

Once injected, neuromodulators block nerve impulses to help relax the treated muscles. As a result, you will look younger and have a more rejuvenated facial expression. Neuromodulators take three to seven days to work and generally last three to four months.

There’s no downtime after a neuromodulator treatment and you can return to normal activities immediately. But, you may experience some slight bruising or swelling at the site of injection.
