Temporary side effects include swelling, tenderness, redness, lumpiness and bruising. With any injection there is some risk of infection.

Because the results eventually fade, additional treatment is necessary to maintain a smooth, youthful look.

Avoid aspirin and other blood thinners before treatment.

Resume normal activities, but be prepared for some slight redness, swelling or bruising. Apply cool compresses to reduce swelling if desired.
